Gede ruins are the remains of a typical Swahili town built along the East African coast. It originally dates back to the 12th century, but was rebuilt as a new town in the 15th and 16th centuries. The rebuilding was connected to emigration of many citizens of Kilwa to Mombasa, Malindi and other coastal towns.
A morning drive from your Hotel to Malindi a historic town. On arrival a cruise in a glass bottom boat visiting one of the very best Marine Parks in Kenya { Malindi Marine Park } an area that fishing is prohibited. Watch the beautiful corals and the lovely colored fish you can feed while snorkeling or by viewing through the glass. After lunch there are visits to falconry , snake park and shopping opportunity – enroute home, visit the ancient ruins of Gedi found in the lost city of Gedi. Return to your Hotel in the early evening. NB. There is a chance to visit Hells Kitchen on private organization.
